We know that there are many of these packs out there but this is not a normal 8mm texture package. Several test rolls and a lot of experiments have brought us to a point where we can say with pleasure: This one is different! Our Super-8 package is overloaded with everything you need to make your projects look like a 50s home movie or a 90s snuff film.

The package includes several 8mm Film Grains scanned from all available Kodak Stocks, burns, LUTs, sprocket holes and never before seen round film gates shot on French vintage equipment. All scanned in 4K and delivered as high resolution ProRes422 files.

KODAK VISION3 50D, 200D, 500T AND TRI-X FILM STOCK

We used all Super 8 stocks currently available from Kodak and scanned them in 4K into 10s loops. So you can use the amount of graininess you need for your project. We even had the Tri-X pushed and pulled in the lab to give you a choice between a coarse and fine B/W grain.

FILM GATE OVERFLOW

Choose from 10 (!) different Film Gate Files. We have (very cool and rare) round and rectangular, 4×3 and 16×9, color and B/W, regular and overscan. And we have 4K so you can easily downscale them to HD.

COOL LUTS FOR COOL KIDS

This pack contains 3 different film look LUTs to emulate the characteristics of real film stock. We built them for different manufacturer’s color spaces so you can use them for your footage. There are LUTs for Arri Log-C, Blackmagic Film, Panasonic V-Log, Sony S-Log3 and Rec709.

IPAD VERSION

This pack is also available as an iPad version. You get HD files converted to HEVC MOVs. This drastically reduces the file size for mobile editing. Please note that we only tested this pack in LumaFusion on iPad.
